Best red carpet looks at the 2025 Oscars

The 97th Academy Awards dazzled Hollywood with an evening of spectacular glamour, dramatic couture, and unforgettable fashion moments. Stars arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, each showcasing their most breathtaking looks for cinema’s grandest celebration.

After a season dominated by subtle elegance and monochrome palettes, Hollywood’s elite embraced shimmer, sparkle, and luxurious metallics. Halle Berry captivated in a disco-inspired Christian Siriano gown, while Demi Moore stunned attendees with her Swarovski crystal-encrusted Armani Privé masterpiece, highlighting the meticulous art of embroidery.

The red carpet turned into a canvas of breathtaking detail: Selena Gomez evoked classic Hollywood glamour in a Ralph Lauren ensemble featuring over 16,000 glittering glass droplets inspired by Sophia Loren. Lupita Nyong’o radiated elegance in an ivory Chanel creation, its intricate design boasting over 22,000 embroidery elements and pearl-strung straps. Ariana Grande was a vision in Schiaparelli, her gown—fresh from the Spring-Summer 2025 Haute Couture runway—mesmerizing with more than 190,000 shimmering crystal sequins, rhinestones, and beads, transforming her tulle skirt into a luminous spectacle.

Cynthia Erivo brought theatrical flair to the event in a striking dark green Louis Vuitton dress featuring a dramatic collar and oversized bow, while Scarlett Johansson exuded timeless sophistication in a plush velvet Thierry Mugler gown with coordinating gloves. Satin also made a luxurious appearance, with Mikey Madison and Raffey Cassidy embodying sleek modernity in polished Louis Vuitton and Loewe designs.

Men’s fashion embraced understated charm punctuated by bold accents: Jeff Goldblum in Prada and Bowen Yang in an intricately embroidered Etro leather jacket added whimsical floral touches. Timothée Chalamet stood out effortlessly in his buttery yellow leather Givenchy suit. Among the most talked-about outfits was that of Blackpink’s Lisa—now also known for her role in “White Lotus”—whose Markgong tuxedo dress redefined elegance with a chic, feminine twist on formal menswear.
