This year, the festivities will mark the Year of the Snake, and Chinatown is set to kick off the celebrations with its iconic Lunar New Year Parade on February 16. Starting at 1 p.m., the parade will light up Mott and Grand streets with grand floats, mesmerizing lion dancers, and live performances that will captivate spectators. Before the parade, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can explore a vibrant array of festival booths on Bayard Street, nestled between Mulberry and Mott streets, offering a taste of the season’s festivities.
